Adoption has certainly impacted my life. Along with our eight children (from Latin America and Kazakhstan) we also have "adopted" four dogs. What does a clean kitchen look like?

After retiring from an eighteen year career as an elementary school teacher, I was offered the opportunity to work for Heritage Adoption Services. I have been on staff since 1993 where my primary role had been as a home study and post-placement report provider. I truly enjoy supporting families who are just beginning their journey to adopt a child.

In my spare time, I volunteer at the children's schools where I am known as "Mama Wilkins", am on the outreach team of our church, and most importantly go thrift shopping!
